The mill: it was a public property. The villagers used to get together with the vineyard owner, spend the whole night together, singing traditional “Zajal” songs, drinking Arak and eating grilled potatoes. The owner, in turn, used to grant those who help prepare molasses many gifts.

Threshing floors: the villagers gather to winnow wheat. They spent nights by the threshing floors waiting to get the right winds. They also spent time singing and telling jokes and all sorts of news.
